MRCS Part B OSCE Revision Course -

Free to East of England Trainees, please note a holding fee of £50 will be required upon booking (the payment is not taken unless you fail to provide 48 hours’ notice of non-attendance prior to the course)
This course is available to East of England Core Surgery Trainees. Maximum of 16 delegates.
The aim of this course is to prepare core surgical trainees for their MRCS Part B exam. This course will cover a range of topics which may include surgical skills, critical care and surgical pathology.
There will be a morning and afternoon session with station rotations of various content.
Venue: Simulation Suite, Centrum Building, Norwich Research Park, Colney Lane, Norwich, Norfolk, NR4 7UG.

Laparoscopic Skills Course for Core Surgery Trainees

This course is only available to East of England Trainees core surgical trainees. (A £50.00 holding fee is required). Should you fail to provide a minimum of 48 hour course cancellation notice, then the payment of £50.00 will be charged to your card. Maximum capacity of 16 delegates.
The day will consist of practical sessions to include laparascopic cholecystectomy and stapling and suturing in animal tissue.

All trainees are expected to produce an abstract poster to include title and list of authors. Please do submit more than one abstract poster, if you have more projects. Deadline for abstract submission is 13th May 2022, submit your abstract poster to lisa.jackson@nnuh.nhs.uk.
The best 3 abstracts will be judged on visual appeal, quality of information contained and the quality of project undertaken. The top 3 abstracts will be displayed on the Health Education East of England Core Surgical Training website and each winner will be awarded a prize and a certificate.

East of England Trauma and Orthopaedic Course

This is a full day event and will consist of various station rotations in the morning, topics to include:-
- Hands on saw bone workshops
- AO plating
- DHS masterclass
- Examination of the Hand Radiology for CT1 and CT2
Followed by clinical examination of patients in the afternoon.
