In order to help Internal Medicine Trainees to prepare for the PACES examination, the School has commissioned a programme of Mock PACES training courses. Our aim is for Mock PACES training courses to be delivered on two sites before each diet of PACES, ideally on opposite sides of the Region in order to minimise participants’ travelling time. These courses are extremely popular so please apply for a course only if you are taking PACES in that diet and if you are committed to attend
The currently planned Mock PACES courses are as follows for HEE East of England trainees only and priority will be given to trainees sitting PACES on the corresponding PACES diet.

IMT Simulation Courses
The School of Medicine has funded places for all of the IMT/Core Medical Trainees in the Region to undergo a one day simulation course based around acute medical scenarios. The feedback from previous courses has been excellent and all IMTs should do their very best to attend what is a rewarding experience which will help prepare them to be medical registrars.
We expect you all to arrange the necessary study leave and book a place as soon as you can. For information about the availability of places or to book, please ask locally first to see availability at your Trust - please check with your relevant medical education department..
Alternatively, please contact Sarah Munro if you are having trouble booking onto a course.
