East Of England Resident Doctors Forum
The Resident Doctors Forum (RDF) ensures that doctors in training have a clear and structured voice in shaping postgraduate medical education. Established in 2011, the RDF brings together specialty and foundation doctors from all specialties and medical and dental training programmes, in primary and secondary care, and provides feedback and advice to the Postgraduate Dean on issues affecting training in the East of England.
The forum’s main purpose is to represent the views of trainees, act as an advocate for doctors in training, provides trainees voice to help improve education and training across the region.
The forum is usually chaired by the EOE communication fellow. The Postgraduate Dean/Deputy attends the RDF meetings to listen to resident doctors representatives, update the forum on developments in postgraduate training, answer questions and report back on progress made on issues previously raised by the Forum.
