Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn

This district general hospital of 485 beds provides a wide range of services, covering most major specialties. The catchment population is approximately 250,000 with patients being admitted from Norfolk, Cambridgeshire & South Lincolnshire. Cardiothoracic surgery, radiotherapy and plastic surgery are provided by visiting consultants from Addenbrooke's Hospital and The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Core medical trainees generally spend on year at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn and one year at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in Norwich.

The posts in the Core Medical Training rotation each last for four months and offer a wide range of clinical experience in specialties including, MAU (Acute Medicine), Medicine for the Elderly, Stroke Medicine, Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, Renal Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology and Gastroenterology. There is an active Postgraduate Centre with dedicated weekly CMT Teaching Programme and also PACES teaching programme running with each diet. There are also MOCK PACES course organised once a year in January.
