- Senior trainees are expected to lead and actively contribute to weekly academic programme and regional CASC training apart from taking part in Foundation Doctors teaching programme.
Special Interest sessions, Management Training and Postgraduate qualifications:
- Senior trainees are encouraged to take on leadership roles, participate in HEE leadership development initiatives (eg LEAP programme, Chief Resident programme, Quality Improvement Fellowship) and work towards a postgraduate qualification as agreed with their Educational Supervisor
- There are special interest sessions available in Medical Management and Medical Education apart from opportunities to gain experience in multiple specialist clinical areas which are not covered in their regular placements
