  • Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia: NEP has 4th year medical students on clinical placements. Senior trainees will have opportunities to coordinate medical student teaching and take up honorary appointments subject to the university regulations
  • Postgraduate Medical Institute, Anglia Ruskin University: Senior trainees will have opportunities to lecture at MRCPsych course and other multi-disciplinary courses
  • Essex University
  • Senior trainees are expected to lead and actively contribute to weekly academic programme and regional CASC training apart from taking part in Foundation Doctors teaching programme.


Special Interest sessions, Management Training and Postgraduate qualifications:

  • Senior trainees are encouraged to take on leadership roles, participate in HEE leadership development initiatives (eg LEAP programme, Chief Resident programme, Quality Improvement Fellowship) and work towards a postgraduate qualification as agreed with their Educational Supervisor
  • There are special interest sessions available in Medical Management and Medical Education apart from opportunities to gain experience in multiple specialist clinical areas which are not covered in their regular placements
