NHS England East of England Autumn Symposium

The Autumn Symposium runs once annually and provides faculty development for postgraduate educators from the East of England, offering a valuable opportunity to learn, develop, network and share best practice.

Unfortunately, due to the recent organisational change and current gaps in administrative capacity, we are not in a suitable position to provide the usual Symposium offer this Autumn, however, to ensure we are providing key learning opportunities across the region, we will be running a revised offer of:

East of England Deanery Update Day, 22nd (AM) and 23rd (PM) October 2024

Two duplicated virtual half day update sessions taking place on the afternoon of Tuesday 22 October and the morning of Wednesday 23 October. The same content will be delivered on both days in order to provide as much flexibility and attendance as possible. The days will offer a fixed programme of MS Teams sessions in a lecture style format, where you can drop-in and out as relevant to you. We will be providing key updates on topics such as:

- Expansion and Redistribution

- Assessment and ARCP’s

- Professional Support and Wellbeing Service

- Quality in Medical Education

- Educator Approval Pathway

- Updates and Q&A with our Senior Leadership Team

This new model will allow us to remove the limitation on spaces and welcome as many educators as possible, without the need to book a space or sign up.

Further information and the link to join will be updated here shortly, however if you would like to ensure you receive direct communications about it, please register your name and email here.

Masterclasses

We will also be offering a range of masterclass style sessions taking place sporadically through November 2024 – February 2025.  Further information will be available on these shortly.

Whilst we understand that this is not the usual offer, we look forward to welcoming an increased number of educators and providing you all with an opportunity to hear key updates and provide faculty development, and look forward to returning to the usual Symposium model in Spring!

If you have any questions, please contact england.eandtevents.eoe@nhs.net.
