Working in healthcare is different to working in other professions. Pressure is felt from all corners of the organisations – financial, structural or complexity of workload. This can take both a physical and emotional toll on you. COVID-19 will have intensified this and this session concentrates on your emotional resilience.

By understanding what resilience means to you in the context of you and your work we will:

  • Look at the seven ways to build resilience and identify areas of strength and future focus
  • Apply positive psychology techniques to improve your overall wellbeing
  • Identify triggers that could be leading to burnout and where to go to for SuppoRTT for this.
Giving and Receiving Feedback effectively

After a clinical break, our skills, confidence, and competence can feel different. As you re-build and integrate back into your clinical practice you may find this session particularly useful to attend.

No matter what stage you are at in your career, feedback will have been integral part to your education, training, and professional working lives. One of the interesting features of feedback is that there really is an art form to this, but you may not have necessarily had an opportunity to take stock and reflect on how you do this both from the perspective of giving feedback but also how you act on feedback that is given to you.

By the end of this webinar you will: -

  • Your feedback style and the impact this has on others
  • Effective ways of providing and receiving feedback in the context of your work
  • Using positive re-framing, feedforward and SBI to build confidence and create structure.

In your roles you need to negotiate and influence daily, whether that be with patients, their families, their peers, senior professionals, or other healthcare professionals. You will need to negotiate situations that will have a significant outcome on your practice, performance, and culture. Developing an understanding of the tools and techniques involved in negotiating effectively will enable you to think differently about how you can adapt your influencing style to approach situations in an alternative way.

By the end of this webinar you will: -

  • Understand your ‘influencing style’ and how to harness it to communicate with impact.
  • Think differently about what it means to influence others
  • Creatively consider what approach to negotiation suits your individual style
