Psychological Support

The life of a doctor in training, both in their training and their personal lives, can be a lot to manage. There are a range of reasons why a trainee may benefit from psychological support during their training journey. The experience of a significant life event at home or in the workplace, suffering from stress and/or anxiety, or experiencing feelings of burnout. Evidence suggests that psychological treatments can work well for emotional, mental and behavioural issues.

Whilst the PSW does not replace the trainee's healthcare provider, we offer fast access to psychological support where a need is identified by a PSW Case Manager. Our current provider is Hammet Street Consultants, who have experience working with doctors in training and have received excellent feedback from our trainees in the East of England.
