Neuro-diverse conditions

Following a referral citing exam failure, you may be offered the opportunity to undertake screening for neurodiverse conditions which may include;

  • Dyspraxia
  • Dyslexia
  • Dyscalculia

Following completion of the screening, you will receive a telephone call from an Occupational Psychologist to discuss the results.

The Occupational Psychologist will ask you a number of questions regarding your childhood education, meeting milestones and the difficulties you believe you have.

At this stage you may be considered for further support such as a full cognitive assessment or 1:1 Strategy Coaching.

Please note: should these recommendations be made, funding approval must be given by the PSW.

For GP's only: all neurodiverse screening is being managed by the Primary Care School.  Please contact england.primarycare.eoe@nhs.net for further enquires.

To be considered for screening, the PSW will require a completed PSW self-referral (this link takes you to the page 'how to refer' - select self-referral and be sure to tick the main reason for the referral as exam support)
