Emotional Intelligence Testing (EQ-i)

Emotional Intelligence measures a set of emotional and social skills that influence the way we:

  1. Perceive and express ourselves
  2. Develop and maintain social relationships
  3. Cope with challenges
  4. Use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way.

The skills that make up the EQ-i 2.0 model of emotional intelligence form the building blocks of abilities such as communication, resilience, and time management and can be mapped theoretically and empirically to job competencies, productivity, academic performance, and other measures of success to help predict and improve functioning.

The PSW are able to offer emotional intelligence testing for trainees to gain insight into their personality and behaviour in the workplace.

In order to access support in this area, trainees are required to undertake an online screening questionnaire.

Following this process, they will be provided with a written report in addition to verbal feedback in order to review development areas and signpost to various avenues of support.

If a trainee has not already been referred, please complete a Full Referral Framework : Form F

Please contact PSW.EoE@hee.nhs.uk if you have any questions.
