GP Courses and Events

The GP School runs a number of educational events to support our trainees and Primary Care Educators. The School is committed to expanding our Primary Care Educator network and there are training courses for all levels of new and established educators. The Spring Symposium and Autumn Seminar provide faculty development for all our educators with the focus on inter-professional education. The GP Open day is an opportunity for trainees and educators to recognise achievement and share ideas and innovations with advice on future GP careers.

GP Educator Courses 2018

We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting bookings for GP Educator Courses 2018.

HEE EoE has changed the way they organise and run GP Educator courses in 2018. The idea behind this move is to ensure consistency of delivery across the following courses:

  • Associate Trainer course
  • Out of Hours Clinical Supervisor course
  • Out of Hours Clinical Supervisor  to Associate Trainer course

Please click here for the booking form and further guidance on how to book.

Please arrange for your booking form and payment to be sent for the attention of The GP School to the advised address on the booking form. Places will not be confirmed until a cheque has been received.

Please note that these courses are very popular, and it is anticipated that spaces will sell out quickly. Places will be given on a first come first serve basis and we do not accept reservations.

Please click here to read the guidance document on becoming an Associate Trainer. Please be aware that although attendance at these days will help prepare for your application as an Associate Trainer, approval is not included in the day.

Further information on becoming a GP Educator can be found here.

Please note that the Associate Trainer to Trainer course will be advertised separately shortly.

Please do not hesitate to email communityschools.eoe@hee.nhs.uk, if you have any queries.
