Workforce, training and education
East of England

Our aim is to develop an excellent 60 hours taught programme that truly meets the needs of our foundation trainees. This is to enhance Foundation training but it also supports future careers plans for core/higher/run through training by offering something new and exciting.

In line with the new EoE 60 Hours Taught Programme Each trainee will book 3 x 1/2 day hub events as part of their generic training in both F1 and F2 and will be encouraged to sign up in the professional practice week or at least within the first few weeks of their training. Two half day sessions should be clinical and the other should be non-clinical or relate to professionalism.

We hope that our trainees will meet higher trainees and enthusiastic educators in specialties that they have a particular interest in and may choose to continue their training in the East of England.

Please see our guidance document for more information as well as our Hub Master spreadsheet which details all Hubs and their locations. Please note that the Hub spreadsheet is a guide only and should not be used to contact administrators to make bookings.  Booking is via Bridge.

Bookings for the 2024-25 academic year will go LIVE ON 7th August 2024 on Bridge.  You will get your logins during your PFPP week and if for any reason you have not received this during that week please contact your Post-graduate administrator at your local Trust who will be able to help out.  Please can we ask that you do not sign up for more than 2x Clinical and 1x non Clinical event - if you do you will block other trainees opportunities to register. We will offer any gaps at a later date as study leave opportunities.

Please note if you will have a booking on Bridge and can no longer attend you can remove yourself from Bridge if there is still more than 4 weeks before the session.  If there is 4 weeks or less left you will have to contact the organisers to take you off the list and may need to meet up with the FTPD to talk about why you can no longer attend. Removing yourself from Bridge when there is 4 weeks or less will not be actioned and your space will remain unless you contact the organisers directly.  This is to help control the booking and make sure we have maximum attendance of those that are booked to attend an hub.

Please note: If there are 4 weeks or less before a HUB session, you cannot take an available slot on Bridge, you will need to contact the organisers directly.

Please see a list below of Education Hub Champions you can contact within your sub region.
