Regional Training Days
The regional training programme is lead by trainees. The current coordinator is Dr Tom Bull. The themes have been designed to cover the national curriculum over the course of two years.
There are six days designated for regional training per year. There is a regional agreement that all trainees will be granted study leave to attend (with the exception of emergency cover at Addenbrookes Hospital).
They are currently held at the Newmarket Cytology Centre and each hospital in the region is responsible presenting content once a year. The typical format is to hold a morphology session in the morning, followed by registrar and consultant talks in the afternoon.
If you are interested haematology training and wish to attend as a FY or CM trainee please contact Tom.
