ACCS REGIONAL TRAINING DAYS
Please find below the ACCS Regional Training Programme 2020/2021. Please ensure you liaise with your individual departments to arrange study leave on these days.
Due to the need for social distancing our teaching sessions will be delivered virtually until it is safe to resume face to face teaching. The teaching sessions will take place every Wednesday between 09:00 – 11:00hrs and will take place instead of the monthly face to face training days. From February 2021 we will return to once a month, all day teaching delivered online. Please ensure you inform your rota coordinators accordingly.
Internal study leave should be reinstated now that Trusts are looking at plans for return to business as usual, any time spent viewing online content should accrue into normal study leave allowances.
To be attended by all ACCS CT2 trainees and DRE-EM trainees undertake the rotations in Anaesthetics / ITU in the next 12 months.
Host: School of Anaesthetics
Time: 12.30-16.40hrs
Venue: With be delivered online using zoom
We will be running the anaesthetic induction on Zoom on 7th August from 1pm. Some departments have the facilities for you to watch on site - & this has advantages in terms of encouraging you to ask questions if anything is not clear.
We recommend downloading the Zoom app on your phone, tablet or computer. Please join 5 minutes before the official start time - you may be asked to wait until we are ready at 1pm however this will help us to start promptly.
All ACCS trainees are invited to this session as ICM will be discussed as well as anaesthetics. There will be a separate break out room for AM/EM ACCS & DRE-EM trainees. Core & ACCS anaesthetic trainees will stay together with any ICM trainees who are new to anaesthetics training.
You will receive invites around a week in advance from Anna Frost.
Please mute your microphones but keep your videos switched on.
There will be opportunities to ask questions via the chat function. We will try to answer the questions on chat throughout the afternoon.
The session will be recorded so that it is available for reference later & for any trainees who cannot attend live - we'd expect this to be a very small number.
Below is a schedule with approximate timings, however exact timings will depend on time for questions etc.
