The Educational Research Group (ERG) seeks to provide comprehensive guidance and support fellows in designing, running and recording research and quality improvement (QI) projects. Fellows are encouraged to submit abstracts for presentation at assorted educational and other conferences.

In addition, the ERG is actively fostering collaborations with educational experts across the region to offer fellows specialised guidance and cultivate a "community of practice" that promotes shared learning and professional development.

Key areas of focus currently include:

• Virtual Learning and Innovation: Utilizing platforms such as Panopto and Bridge to enhance digital learning experiences.
• Supporting Doctors: Addressing differential attainment, supporting locally based SAS doctors and International Medical Graduates (IMGs), and engaging with the Professional Support and Wellbeing (PSW) service.
• Faculty Development
• Leadership Training

ERG meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month and take place virtually via Microsoft Teams
