Dr Andrew Ashford - Training Programme Director

Dr Ashford has been a GP Trainer for around 20 years (he forgets how long exactly!), and joined Zia as a Course Organiser (now Programme Director) around seven years ago.  He was a partner at The Limes Medical Centre from 1985 until retiring only a few years ago, having completed his GP training with the scheme (known then as the West Essex VTS).

He has a longstanding interest in communication skills, and also diabetes in primary care, the latter leading him to undertake a Masters in Health Sciences (Diabetes Care) at Warwick University.

Dr Syed Haque - Training Programme Director

Dr Haque also completed his General Practice training with the West Essex VTS, and then went on to join the The Maples Surgery as a full time partner. He is our newest addition as a TPD and became part of our Team in September 25.  His many qualifications include being an Examiner and is therefore a great support for Trainees when sitting their AKT and SCA exams, he is a valuable and great addition to our Scheme.

Dr Nazmul Mohsin - Training Programme Director

Dr Mohsin again trained with the West Essex VTS before joining the Hamilton Practice in Harlow. He was appointed as TPD in 2014 following the rapid expansion of the training programme in the preceding years, which saw the total number of members rise to its current all time high of 67 by August 2014.
