In addition to the regular weekly half-day release programme we have an annual away day, usually taking advantage of the nearby north Norfolk coast. We rent conference facilities to use for our workshops to which the trainers are also invited. They play a key role in facilitating the day and we often hire actors for this day as well.This is usually a very highly valued day. 

We also encourage informal evening meals whenever possible. 

Cakes are not unusual at our Wednesday afternoon tea-break, particularly when someone has something to celebrate. Occasionally our trainees have even brought in tasty bites from within their own cultures – helping us all to further develop our cultural competence.
