Research opportunities
These are predominantly available on the Cambridge and Norwich training programmes although there are opportunities available within the EBH training programme. Both Cambridge and Norwich are members of the newly formed Radiology Academic Network for Trainees (RADIANT), a national trainee-led consortium, supported by the RCR to encourage research within radiology. Trainees will have the support of research-active consultants who will provide guidance and mentorship.
Trainees from all programmes have presented scientific papers nationally and internationally. There is always representation of the region at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago and European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna. The number of publications, presentations and posters by trainees at both national and international levels continues to increase each year.
More formal research opportunities (PhD and MD) are available. Clinical Academic Training is available as integrated programme at Cambridge. More information can be found here.
