Workforce, training and education
East of England

Do you want to be involved with delivering simulation training?

In the East of England we value trainees as the educators of tomorrow. We have established academic Foundation posts to promote early formal educational development both by completing a Masters in Education and opportunities to conduct quality improvement projects utilising simulation based education. The Foundation school has invested in education and simulation fellows that are working to both improve the quality of simulation and training across the region and develop new training as innovative equipment emerges. Our simulation providers across the region conduct faculty training days for debriefing skills, scenario writing and utilising high-fidelity simulation equipment such as mannikins.

Cambridge Simulation Training for Leaders in Education (CASTLE) courses are available to support the development of simulation faculty at Cambridge University Hospitals, Norfolk and Norwich, Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital and Anglia Ruskin University.

e-learning for Health (e-LfH)

E-learning for health provides modules specifically to support the training of simulation faculty, these can be accessed here: https://www.e-lfh.org.uk/programmes/simulation-faculty-development/
