Hospital Jobs:

These cover a wide range of specialties including A&E, Palliative Medicine, Paediatrics, Obs & Gynae, Psychiatry, Orthopaedics, Acute Medicine, Medicine for the Elderly, Oncology, Stroke Medicine, Endocrinology&Diabetes, Ophthalmology and ENT. All hospital posts are 4 month rotations.

Due to the national expansion of GP trainee numbers, from August 2021 all trainees will complete 12 months in hospital rotations and 24 months in GP rotations- 6 months of which will be in an ITP post (Integrated Training Post). ITP posts will see the training week split 50/50 between a GP surgery and a community element.

Our ITP posts cover the following specialties: Renal; Intermediate Care; Safeguarding; Frailty; Homelessness; Haematology and Hospice.

Training Practices:

There are currently 17 training practices with a total of 59 full trainers. Please take a look at the links below for the individual surgeries.

Time in GP surgery is split into  2 x 6 month post during ST2 training phase, 6 months within an ITP post and 6 months in pure GP with the final training year spent entirely in a GP surgery.
