The Educational Supervisors: Satin and Hardik have been friends since college. They both qualified in 2006, with Satin graduating from Cardiff University and Hardik from The Royal London & St Bart’s Hospital. Together, they created the SmileArt Dental brand and established practices in Buckhurst Hill (IG9) and Winchmore Hill (N21). Josh joined as a joint Educational Supervisor in 2021, having graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2014 and completed his foundation training within the practice.
They offer a wide range of general NHS and private treatments, including orthodontics, implantology, and sedation. All three have pursued advanced training in Cosmetic & Advanced Restorative Dentistry, aesthetic dentistry, Invisalign, and Inman Aligner orthodontic systems. In 2023, Hardik completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Oral Surgery at the University of Bristol. He is also a trained hypnotherapist and uses these skills along with IV sedation to manage and treat nervous patients. Both Satin and Hardik hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education from the University of Bedfordshire. In 2023, Satin completed a Diploma in Clear Aligner Therapy, enabling him to handle more complex orthodontic cases.
Josh has completed his Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring and Postgraduate Certificate in Endodontics. He is currently working towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Endodontics. Recently, he spent a year practicing dentistry in New Zealand. All three are members of the Royal College of Surgeons and the Local Dental Committee. Since 2012, they have mentored over 24 FD trainees.
The Practice: Valley Dental Practice is a mixed NHS/Private practice. Satin and Hardik have a great partnership, superb dental team, mixed patient base and a well equipped, modern surgery where new dental graduates will have an excellent opportunity to develop their skills and thrive to become ethical and accomplished practitioners.
This surgery was established over 40 years ago. In December 2012 the surgery had major refurbishment work and changed from a two surgery to a four-surgery practice. In September 2023, we installed our latest 5th surgery. All 5 clinical rooms are air conditioned and on par with latest government guidelines and protocols. We are fully computerised with a high-quality digital x-ray system and digital intraoral scanner. We also have access to digital OPG and CBCT scanner at our sister practice in Winchmore Hill.
There is a staff room/kitchen, office and separate dedicated sterilisation room. We also have a shower for those fitness enthusiast who want to cycle or run to work.
Valley Dental Practice is also a member of the BDA Good Practice Scheme. We have a wide skill mix comprising of 10 practitioners from DFT, Hygienist, dentists with special interests in Cosmetic Dentistry, IV Sedation, Endodontics, Oral Surgery and a visiting Restorative Consultant (Mr Mital Patel BSc(Hons) BDS MFDS RCS Eng MSc). The Area: Valley Dental Practice is located in a residential area between Buckhurst Hill and Loughton. The practice is surrounded by affluent areas such as Chigwell and Loughton but also has pockets of low social-economic housing.
The surgery is located in Essex, but is still within the M25 and easy to commute to by car. There is ample free unrestricted car parking spaces opposite the surgery for both staff and patients.
The surgery is a 5 minute walk from Buckhurst Hill Underground (Central Line) station. Bus route 167 (Ilford to Debden) passes opposite the surgery. We are a 10 minute walk from the popular Queens Road, which hosts a wide range of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants.
Other Points of Interest: Accommodation is easy to organise and the practice manager will be more than happy to help with this. David Lloyd Leisure Centre (Chigwell) is a 5 minute drive away, and there are numerous golf clubs nearby. The practice is a 15 minute tube ride from Stratford’s Westfield shopping centre and 20 minutes from London Liverpool Street Station. Buckhurst Hill is “TOWIE” central, so pack your fake tan and don’t forget to bleach your teeth!
