SAS Doctors Funding for Individual Development
If you are looking to access development specifically tailored to your own individual developmental needs this is something that should be discussed in your appraisal with your employer. We encourage you to utilise your employing Trust's study leave budget to benefit your own individual needs in the first instance.
If you are interested in undertaking a highly unique or extraordinary development opportunity we encourage you to initiate a conversation with your SAS Tutor or SAS Specialty Lead to discuss career progression and service benefits.
How to apply:
Funding applications for individual development are currently being accepted. If you wish to apply for funding towards a development opportunity, please complete and submit the application form which can be found at the bottom of this page. The application window will close at 12:00 noon on 31st January 2024. NHS England (NHSE) reserves the right to close the application window early if deemed necessary.
Travel, accommodation and subsistence guidance can be found in the Funding Application and Guidance document. Please refer here before submitting an application including these expenses.
The fully completed application should be returned to NHS England via the SAS mailbox (england.sas.eoe@nhs.net) for assessment a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the event start date. If this timeframe is not adhered to applications may be declined.
Any applications for activity taking place after 31st March 2024 will be declined.
