Welcome to Everything Wellbeing!

Hi, I’m Junaid, an Emergency Medicine Registrar and the Professional Support and Wellbeing (PSW) Fellow for the East of England (2024-2025). Having been through the highs and lows of medical training myself, I’m passionate about helping fellow resident doctors navigate the tough times and come out stronger, healthier, and more resilient.
These blogs are my small way of breaking the stigma around mental health in medicine and sharing practical, no-nonsense tips I wish I had known earlier. If it can make even one colleague feel less alone or better equipped to face the challenges of this job, it will be worth it.
Through personal stories, practical tips, and honest conversations, these blogs are here to support you through the ups and downs of training. Whether it’s about handling stress, supporting a colleague, surviving night shifts, or simply finding small moments of calm amidst the chaos, we’re in this together.
I know we live in a fast-paced, attention-deficit world where no one has the time (or patience!) to read long articles. That’s why these posts are designed to be short, bite-sized reads with practical takeaways you can use straight away. You’ll also find links to helpful resources at the end of each post for when you need that extra support.
Everything Wellbeing is here to remind you that looking after yourself isn’t a luxury - it’s essential.
Take a deep breath. You’re not alone. Let’s talk wellbeing.
