Historically our rotations have always meant that six months is spent in a general practice placement in ST1 year as well as the whole ST3 year. The GP practice allocated in ST1 year is different to the ST3 practice so that everyone has the opportunity to work in two different practices.
As with every programme in the East of England our rotations are changed from Aug 21.
ST1 year is spent in hospital posts and subsequently there will 18/12 as an ST2/ST3 in GP.
In addition there is 6/12 spent in an integrated training post -ITP as an ST2 which is post where time is split between a GP post and a hospital post .
All the GP posts offer good exposure to general practice, with friendly trainers and lots of opportunity for excellent training in both town and rural practices. As you will see below we cover a large geographical area you will be required to travel at some point during your training programme.
