Workforce, training and education
East of England

Health Education England, East of England (HEEoE) strongly recognises the need to be a responsible employer with a social responsibility. Our aim is to offer opportunities and choice to a diverse range of communities, especially those hard to reach groups including the Armed Forces.

We are pleased to support the medical training of the Armed Forces Reserves. HEEoE and the various schools of medicine understand that medical trainees in the Armed Forces Reserves are expected to participate in mandated military training and may be deployed and will support you in this. We have found that existing reservists have made an invaluable contribution to the region as their training and experiences enable them to develop excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills that can be transferable and role-modeled upon; this is beneficial to the Trusts and the region as whole.

We believe that you will enjoy living and working in the East of England and benefit from the excellent and flexible training that will be afforded to you that will allow you to pursue your career as a doctor in the Armed Reserved Forces. Please use the links below to explore the various schools of medicine. There is also a link to a testimonial from an existing medical reservist in the Army.
