East of England

Health Education East of England Junior Papers Day annual event took place on Tuesday 2 July 2013 at the British School of Racing in Newmarket.

HEEoE would like to thank all of the attendees, sponsors and organisers for supporting this dynamic day when young hospital-based professionals from the east of England present their interesting cases and audit topics.

'The morning session began with a welcome from Mark Turner, chairman and event organiser and from Professor Richard Ibbetson, Dental Dean, RCS Edinburgh. Twelve oral presentations followed to complete the morning. After each ten minute presentation there was a brief opportunity for the presenter to face questions from the audience. The chairman ensured that the programme ran according to plan and that the mid-morning refreshments and the excellent lunch were taken on time. During these times delegates were able to view the poster presentations and to visit the trade stands of several companies who had also kindly supported the day.

After lunch the remaining oral presentations were made before the panel of judges deliberated during the tea interval. Again this year the quality of all the presentations was extremely good and the judges had a difficult task in determining the prize winners.

The prizes were presented by Robert Chate, Dental Vice Dean RCS Edinburgh before this thoroughly enjoyable and educationally stimulating day was brought to a close by the chairman.'
