The Educational Supervisor: I have been an ES for PLVE since 2017 and then ES for Therapists since 2021. Now I am ready to take it even further by becoming an ES for FDs.
I have been doing general dentistry since 2003 and have worked in maxillofacial surgery prior to that for 3 years. One of my SHO posts offered me some work experience under an Orthodontic consultant. This gave me confidence to take up short term Orthodontics which I really enjoy. I have completed PG Cert in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry.
The Practice: Our practice in Burntwood has been established since the1970s. The practice underwent a complete make over in 2020 and now boasts 3 modern surgeries of decent size rooms and a large waiting room. There is a separate decontamination room and staff kitchen and toilet facilities. All of the equipments is brand new.
- We have digital xrays and access to rotary endo system.
- We have a specialist visit the practice once a month for Implants and Oral surgery.
- We have established, stable patient base but we are also taking on new patients.
- Most of our staff members are local and a friendly bunch.
The Area: The practice is based in Burntwood. Burntwood is a former mining town in the Lichfield District in Staffordshire with a population of around 26,000. The practice is situated between GP practice and Lloyds pharmacy and is in the town centre with local amenities in walking distance
Other Points of Interest: Our practice is a well established purpose built building in a small town of Burntwood. The patients are very loyal and trustworthy. It is a quiet/ calm town that has the charm of large green areas and free wandering deers!
The accomodation can be easy to find and very affordable in Burntwood. The place is 25 minutes away from Wolverhampton and around 45 minutes from Birmingham should you wish to drive from the city. Burntwood is just at the end of M6 Toll which can be useful to avoid heavy traffic on the M6.
