The Educational Supervisor: Sana Khan is a joint practice principal at Leamington Spa Dental Practice. She has been practicing dentistry in the West Midlands and beyond since graduation from the Birmingham University in 2005. She is also a clinical tutor at the Birmingham Dental Hospital 3rd and 4th year clinics. Her clinical special interest is in orthodontics and composite bonding. Her other interests are in mentoring and professional development of the dental team. She has been an Educational Supervisor previously and is looking forward to returning this role. Outside of clinical dentistry, Sana loves spending time with her family and she has an interest in gardening and travelling. She is a member of the Local Dental Committee and British Dental Association. She continues to read extensively on personal development and is a keen to help charities.
The Practice: Leamington Spa Dental Practice is an established practice in the lovely and leafy town of Royal Leamington Spa, offering a mix of Independent, NHS treatment and patients registered with Denplan. We are committed in encouraging preventative care, offering our patients the very best techniques and keeping abreast of the changes in modern dentistry. We have three treatment rooms kitted out with luxury Belmont ambidextrous chairs. This means they can be switched easily to accommodate a left handed dentist. The chairs are state of the art, maintained to the highest of standards and we have a dedicated instrument decontamination room. We are fully computerised for dental records with digital intra oral radiography and photography. We use Software of excellences “exact” software for our records. The practice undertakes treatment for orthodontics, prosthodontics and for the restoration/maintenance of implants. The team consists of two Practice Principal’s with a special interest in orthodontics and endodontics respectively. We also have a senior performer dentist as well as hygienist/therapists. We have a mixture of nurses led by our most senior nurse. The practice ethos is based on teamwork and continuous professional development.
The Area: The practice is situated in a short walk from local amenities such as the Train station, the beautiful Jephson Gardens park and the town centre which provides further amenities. It is orientated over three floors and we providing dentistry in a relaxing, family environment. Leamington Spa is regularly highlighted as one of the "best places to live in the UK" in polls and we have no doubt you will agree with this. We have good transport links locally. Parking is situated a short walk away.
Other Points of Interest: Our practice team regularly have social events and birthday parties for our team. We also enjoy taking time out to visit the annual dentistry show at the NEC in Birmingham. Finding accomodation in the area is not a problem and there are many options open to an individual or family.
