The Educational Supervisors: Gedrius is a European qualified dentist who has practiced in the UK since 2009. Gedrius has completed a Masters in Advanced Dental Practice with the University of Birmingham and has a keen interest in restorative dentistry.
Gedrius has been an in practice supervision for EU graduates and overseas dentists for approx 2 years. Gedrius also is a clinical education volunteer for undergraduate education at the University of Birmingham on a part time basis. Gedrius is a Fellow of the College of Medicine and Dentistry and is committed to dental education and imparting his knowledge to future colleagues in a supportive environment. Outside of the dental practice Giedris is married with a son and enjoys walks, visiting historic places and social activities with friends.
The Practice: The dental practice is a large detached building (a former nursery school) with car parking at the rear off a main road on the outskirts of Nuneaton. We have been established for around 10 years and have a wide established patient base as well as daily new patients. The practice has a large spacious reception and waiting area complimented by three reception staff at all times and a manager. The practice offers 10 very spacious surgeries over two floors, each with intra oral camera connected to large TV screens to assist patient journey. Each surgery is fully equipped with a full compliment of hand pieces, hand instruments,
intra oral digital x-ray unit and all materials. The practice has a digital OPG machine, decontamination room and education room. We have a staff area, small equipped kitchen and seating area for social time. We are compliment by a mixed team of male and female dentists, a dental therapist, a hygienist (part time) and a number of qualified and trainee dental nurses. We have special interest dentists on the team including implantology, endodontics and orthodontics.
The Area: The area of Nuneaton is a small town situated a short distance from the city of Coventry. We are less than 20 minute drive from Leicester and Birmingham and on all main transport links junction 3 of the M6.
The area is a mixed population with a mixed age demographic. The area has some pockets of high dental need as well as affluent areas. There are a number of new patients daily due to expansion of local housing, neighboring dental practices with closed NHS lists and overall patient demand. The practice also sees referrals from the local hospital department and NHS111 referrals.

Our practice ethos is development and shared learning. We host group webinars each month on a a variety of topics inviting all staff to be involved if they wish.
