The Educational Supervisors: Graham has been a DFT Educational Superviso for since 2008 years whilst Riten has been an Educational Superviso since 2015. As well as both being a GDP and an Educational Supervisor, the FDs have the opportunity to learn from Graham and Riten's experience and are abe to carry out complex procedures under their supervision. Over the last few years our FDs have stayed with us and continue to work at the practice.
The Practice: There are 8 surgeries offering a wide range of treatments including an NHS contract, private dentistry, cosmetic treatments and implantology. We also have a hygienist and one of our GDPs offers an orthodontic service. In addition we have DWSI in endodontics performing complex root canal treatments as well as being a primary care oral surgery referral centre with an in-house Oral Surgeon. We use intra-oral scanners. Both educational supervisors are DWSI in oral surgery and also perform on the referral service.
Although the practice itself has not been a foundation training practice for long, the Educational Supervisors themselves have been providing training to FDs for well over 10 years.
The Area: The practice is close to Nottingham City centre with ample shopping, culture and nightlife, Sherwood Forest, Gedling country park, Colwick Racecourse and Nottingham Motorpoint Arena
Other Points of Interest: Access to the practice is available via car with a car park behind the practice which allows free parking for two hours and availability on the side roads free of charge. There are a number of buses from the city centre with a bus terminal only 50 yards from the practice. A train station is situated in Netherfield which is 1.8 miles away.
We feel team work is an important part of the practice and meet up for dinners or raising money for local charities. We look forward to welcoming an innovative new colleague to the team who can offer creative ideas to help with the development of the practice and look forward to an exciting and sociable year here in Nottingham.
