The Educational Supervisor: Zaid has been with the practice full-time since June 2022, part-time since February 2022. Currently nearing the end of 1st year implant course. Zaid is very much a team player supportive with the team, contributes to team meetings and joins in team social events. Zaid is friendly, genuine, honest, pragmatic whilst being professional and appreciative of his supporting team.
The Practice: 6 surgeries with 2 reception areas over 2 floors. 3 new chairs due to be installed this summer so 5 chairs will be ambidextrous. Rotary endo, Digital xrays including OPG, Itero scanner for lab work . 3x trainee nurses,- 2 due to qualify this summer, 5 qualified nurses having been in practice 1 to 37 years Head Nurse, Treatment Co-ordinator, Clinical PM. 26 yrs experience 13 of those as PM 1 x Hyg 1 x H&T. 4x Dentists. Large staff room , FD surgery next door to decon room & ES surgery. Being a corporate practice we have a large support network via head office and in the field.
The Area: Cavendish Dental Care is a 2minute walk into the town centre. We have Queens Park across the roundabout and a host of eateries. We are a 15minute walk from the train station and 2mins from the bus station. There is free parking locally, we just make a charitable donation as its Salvation Army car park. Ideally situated for a commute from Sheffield as we have 3 clinicians doing so.
Other Points of Interest: One of our clinicians Adam Toft teaches with Tipton Training and is more than happy to support with bite/wear cases. We are a sociable team that call ourselves a family. We go out the first Friday of each month, its not always the same people but its good to see colleagues out of work. We are considering locations for our next Christmas event. Going to the races in a few months. We also apply for charity events in practice - Comic Relief, MacMillan, Christmas Jumper and Ashgate Sparkle Walk this year. We celebrate achievements, birthdays and work anniversaries mainly with cake, sometimes with fruit as a healthy option.
