The Educational Supervisor: Pamela started at Church Square dental practice as a FD herself in 2009 and has worked as a performer ever since. Pamela completed her Masters in Advanced General Practice at the University of Birmingham and in 2020 completed a PGCert in Coaching and Mentoring. Pamela has an interest in sedation and aligner treatment.
Pamela reflected back on her FD year. I had a fantastic ES and got excellent support from the practice team. I inspire to give back the same experience to the new FD by passing on my knowledge to build a strong foundation to the new team member.
Outside of dentistry Pamela is a busy mother of two young girls.
The Practice: Church Square dental practice is a well established 4 surgery practice serving the community for over 50 years. The practice provides sedation, aligner treatment and facial aesthetic treatment.
The FD surgery is a good size and supports left hand working. The FD surgery has an adjoining door to the ES surgery.
The majority of the nursing staff are qualified with over 5 years experience. The practice enjoys a very diverse patient base with a good mix of treatment need.
The Area: Church Square is situated in Oldbury a market town in Sandwell. Oldbury is an ethnic diverse area - it has a great golf club (Brandhall), Portway Lifestyle Centre, Retail Centres (Oldbury Green Park, New Square).
There are good transport links with rail (10min walk to Sandwell and Dudley station), bus (1min walk to Oldbury Interchange), road (5 min to M5 junction 2 and about 20 mins by road to Birmingham City Centre).
