The Educational Supervisor: After graduating from Birmingham University in 2011 around 12 years ago, I undertook my vocational training in Bedford and went on to attain my membership in the Faculty of Dental Surgeons from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2013.

It has been 11 years since I started at The Luton Dental Centre. I like to provide a relaxed and comfortable environment for my patients and have a keen focus on preventative treatments. I enjoy all aspects of general family dentistry, taking particular pleasure in making a child's first dental visit memorable and fun. I am also very passionate about learning and expanding my skill set. I am fully qualified in facial aesthetics and administer both wrinkle-softening injectables and dermal fillers.

I am currently mentoring a newly qualified dentist from Madrid, we have been working very closely together to build up as much knowledge and experience as possible so that they feel confident and well-prepared, for their first year as an associate on the NHS. As a result of this training experience, I am well-versed in overseeing newly qualified dentists with limited experience.
My true passion has always been mentoring and developing others to further their skill set. I pride myself in having an open-door policy, whereby questions, and advice will always be welcomed.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling abroad, spending time with my daughter, and love to discover new places while creating new memories with my family.

The Practice: With an excellent blend of NHS and private The Luton Dental Centre is never quiet and offers a great training ground for an FD to absorb all the knowledge and be well supported in their journey. The practice continues to move at pace with technology; Kavo dental chairs, digital sensors in every surgery, fibre optic handpieces, iTero Scanners, OPG, Pulp testers, Apex locators, rotary endo systems, endodontic microscope, Prophy stain removal kit, Rondo-flex air abrasion kit, multiple composite and matrix systems are all available. All surgeries have air-conditioning, computers with Exact software and phones, along with a spacious staff room with kitchen facilities and parking is available.

The clinical team are dedicated and established in supporting each other in their different aspects of dentistry, facial aesthetics such as dermal fillers and Botox.  Hygiene therapists are available to refer to in house, and senior clinicians with specialist interests and further postgraduate qualifications in endo, oral surgery and implants are available to learn from within the wider team. Furthermore, you will have access to our sister specialist referral centre for exposure to high end specialist treatment.

We have an amazing team of qualified nurses, who are trained in radiography and oral health, some trainee nurses too (Kings College), and a reception team that will support you with your diary management, alongside an open-door policy you will be fully supported in your learning needs!

The Area: We are in the heart of Luton, just off Wellington Street – only a 10-minute walk from Luton’s train and bus stations, handy for the airport and London, the M1 is just a short drive away. There’s also handy on-street parking, as well as car parks in the local vicinity – all within a short walking distance. There are also great coffee shops, and lots of food choices all right on our doorstep.

Other Points of Interest: The Luton Dental Centre is part of Obex Dental, which means collectively we have a wealth of experience, whether it is in dentistry or simply life, we can pretty much guarantee someone will be able to help you!

We don’t just see the patients that come through our doors, we are passionate about the community and trying to make sure that children have access to oral health care.  We aim to create ‘pop up’ clinics to educate and provide access, whilst also taking on children under the NHS.  This is also why we are supporting “Dallaglio Rugbyworks” who receive 100% of all our sundry sales, this helps them work with young people aged 12-18 who are experiencing school exclusion to help support them in realising their full potential for the future
