The Educational Supervisors: Sean. I qualified from Trinity College Dublin and came to the UK in 2004. I have worked as an associate in London, Essex and Sydney Australia and I have been working as an associate at Broxbourne since 2014. The practice has been a foundation training practice since 2010. I worked previously as an ES in 2021/2022 and have been involved with FD training for over 7 years. I have a keen interest in Endodontics, Invisalign and Restorative dentistry. I have 2 children and in my spare time I enjoy rugby, travel and squash
Ehsan. After obtaining BSc Chemistry and PGCE from King's College London I relocated to Budapest to pursue a dental degree. I qualified from Semmelweis Univerity in 2013 and moved back to the UK. I have since been working as an associate mostly in London apart from the 3 months in Newcastle in 2014. My current base is Broxbourne since 2020 where the practice has been training FDs since 2010. I have been gladly supporting FDs whenever they asked for help and/or second opinions with different cases. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry and will be starting on a Masters course in Dental Implantology in the near future. I currently undertake many invilsalign, endodontics, restorative and cosmetic cases. I play football at least once a week and enjoy working out at the gym.
The Practices: Together Dental Broxbourne is a modern 7 surgery dental practice with 7 dentists and 3 hygienists. We have a visiting specialist to the practice who is an Endodontist. We also have a very experienced team with expertise in Orthodontics and Implantology. This allows the FD access to these colleagues for additional support if it is needed. All surgeries are fully equipped, air-conditioned, have digital radiography and the latest Dentally software. The practice has a purpose built decontamination room and CBCT scanner. It is a mixed NHS and private practice, offering all aspects of dentistry. One of our associates has a Diploma in Implant Dentistry and an opportunity to see these being placed would be offered. As part of the larger Together Dental group of practices, there are additional opportunities for training and working with a broader clinical team. The busy practice is conveniently located on the high street in Broxbourne. A six minute walk from the train station, it offers a car park and a shop front location on the ground floor, with disabled access. There is a small kitchenette used as a staff room. It’s a great place to work, with an experienced and friendly team
The Area: Broxbourne is situated 3.5 miles north of the M25 junction 25 and is on the Cambridge to London Liverpool Street line. The village setting has expanded in the last few years to merge with the pleasant town of Hoddesdon which has all the amenities such as a post office, banks and supermarkets. Broxbourne is predominantly a middle class area, treating families, thereby allowing for all aspects of dentistry. It is close to Brookfield Centre allowing for shopping as it has good selection of shops. The area is green enough to appear as though it is in the country and yet really close to London. It has shopping, gyms, and the popular town of Hertford is only 15 minutes away by car for a night out.
Other Points of Interest: The other dentists in the practice all have an interest in teaching. 2 associates are former ES's themselves, one with over 11 years experience in the role. The practice offers implants, invisalign, facial aesthetics and all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry. We have a dentist with special interests in endodontics visiting the practice too.
The practice was refurbished in January 2021 to a very high standard and is very clean and modern. with WIFI and cloud based software.
