The Validation Supervisor: Gurpreet Kaur, owns and manages the dental practice in Irthlingborough, Wellingborough. Gurpreet is passionate about nurturing the talent of new dentists and would like to share the knowledge which she has gained over the years. Her clinical strengths lies in restorative dentistry and extractions, and has completed an MSc in Restorative Dental Practice from UCL Eastman, London . Gurpreet's non-clinical strengths lies in staff recruitment, training and complaints management. Outside of dentistry she is mother to a boy and is passionate about traveling. Gurpreet aims to supports the associates to become super-associates - talented, high-grossing individuals who are doing innovative and exciting dentistry. Gurpreet is on-site daily and is just a room away, as and when the associate needs assistance.
The Practice: Spinney Brook Dental is a 3 chair dental practice. It is a newly refurbished practice where we have A-dec 400 high end chairs. We also have micro-motors in all the 3 rooms. We offer top notch materials and resources to the individual who will come and work with us. Currently, we have a private dentist plus a therapist and a Hygienist on the site. We have an experienced reception team this is not just good at patient and appointment management, but also aware of how to manage the VED's diary. At the beginning of the year the VEDs are given long check-up appointments, to settle down, usually 30 minutes for emergencies and this gets slowly shortened over the course of the year as they speed up. We also don't charge any mentor-ship fees. We will also offer a registered dental nurse to assist the VED, which will assist the individual chairside. You will never work alone or unassisted as we always have surplus staff. Massive NHS and Private Patients List. Not taking on new Patients. We will be introducing Practice plan.
The practice is fully computerized utilizing Exact Software, Digital X-rays, Itero. The Practice offers a full range of Private and Cosmetic Dentistry including Dental Invisalign.
The Area: One of the best shopping hub in Northampton is Rushden Lakes, which is just 5 minutes away from the practice. In case the VED wants to go out for Coffee, the shops are all under 5 minutes from the practice. The schools in the area are amazing. Wellingborough School is just 10 minutes drive from the practice too. The accommodation is categorically cheaper than the bigger towns. There is lots of free parking outside the surgery. We have 1000's of patients on waiting list and generally get torrents of calls for new registration for NHS.
Other Points of Interest: The practice is fully digitalised with Clinipads. In surgery digital x-rays, rotary endo systems, surgical equipment. The VED will be able to use all this equipment from early enough in the year since we believe we are supporting them to become a progressive, modern clinician that is building their skill. We want to be able to teach VED not just to have a solid foundation of basic clinical skills but also learn how to do things rapidly by embracing new techniques, materials and ideas. By the end of the year our aim is for the VED to be able to be so competent- as we provide supportive and Healthy working environment.
Above all we are an extremely fun practice, we help each other out to see a patient if anyone is running late or need help with a procedure. We socialise quite frequently as a practice and a lot of the team are also friendly outside of work. e are a young team with lots of energy, a good work ethic and a great sense of humour. We love what we do as a team!
