The Validation Supervisors: Anand and Andreas applied to become joint Validation Supervisors for Boston Dental Centre this year and are keen to work together to support a VED in the practice. They decided that they were going to apply to help and support other dentists to be successful in acquiring their performer number .
Anand passed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1995 from the University of Mumbai, India, then started work at a private practice in Bombay as an Associate Dentist. In 1997 after gaining some experience in the field, he decided to do his Masters in Endodontics which was completed in India in 1999. Dr Anand successfully ran his own private referral Endodontic practice in Mumbai from 2000 until 2007, to further his knowledge and skills in modern Endodontics (root canal treatment), he successfully completed a two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Endodontics from the world-renowned Kings College, London, which he passed in March 2018 with a Distinction. He is a member of the British Endodontic Society, he has a special interest in root canal treatment which he performs to a very high standard using advanced skills and modern equipment. Anand has previously been a mentor for 2 dentists in the practice who successfully achieved gaining their performer number.
Andreas joined the practice in 2016 years ago after moving from Greece He has had over 20 years experience working as a General Dentist. Both VSs enjoy helping others and thrive on supporting colleagues in anyway they can.
The Practice: The practice opened in 2006 and has 9 surgeries. The practice has 2 buildings on the same site, 2 surgeries, a small waiting area, a kitchen and the office in one building and 7 surgeries in the main practice, a large waiting and reception area, a large Decontamination room and a kitchen as well as a changing room for the staff. We use Systems for Dentists computer software and Schick Digital X-Rays, we also have a rotary endo unit. The practice has 2 Hygienists, 1 full time dentist, 2 part time dentists, an implantologist and a dentist with special interest in Endo( Anand). We have also recently had a private part time dentist join us who is hoping to complete a masters in oral surgery. The Practice Manager has been at the practice since it opened. She first started out as a dental nurse, making her way to Senior nurse/assistant manager after 3 years and becoming Practice Manager nearly 5 years ago. The staff are very supportive with 5 RDN, 1 trainee dental nurse, and 2 receptionists and know that teamwork is what makes the practice run smoothly.
The Area: The Practice is on the outskirts of a small market town. The town has a train station, large Asda and various other shops and cafe's. We are located in a village called Wyberton which has a post office, costa, Burger King, Starbucks, Travelodge, hairdressers, Co-op, Spar shop all in walking distance. Just a short drive away is Tesco , Lidl, B&Q, a new Gym and various other shops with plans on the horizon to increase shops in this area.
Other Points of Interest: The practice is located near to the A16 which is a good access route to Peterborough which has good main train links to London.
