The Educational Supervisors: Atul Laddha - Atul obtained his BDS degree in Dentistry at the University of Amravati, Maharashtra, India. He then worked at a couple of practices as a principle dentist for 10 years in Mumbai, before moving to the UK in 2009. He has a vast experience in training associates in the past. He started working at Home Farm Dental Practice in 2019. His special interests are Root Canal Treatments, Dentures, Crowns and Bridges; Smile Makeovers, Cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign. Atul is always passionate about supporting newly qualified dentists, his aim is to give you a comprehensive variety of experience required for a successful onward career and to let you develop at your own pace in a safe environment.
In his spare time, Atul enjoys cycling, TT, badminton and cricket. He has a passion for watching movies.
Prerna Vather- I am particularly interested in treating children and nervous patients and find overcoming challenging cases very rewarding. I have looked after Foundation Dentists since 2019 and have found it to be a rewarding experience. It has kept my knowledge up to date and brought an element of variety to our practice over the years.
The practice provides a good mixture of predominantly NHS & special interest dentist-based treatments.
The Practice: Established in 1989, 2 large Surgery practice providing a full range of NHS care & specialist-based treatments. Our team currently consists of Principal Dentist, 3 Associates, 1 hygienist/therapist, 3 nurses, 1 receptionist (recently celebrated her 25th anniversary working with Home Farm), and 1 practice manager.

We hold regular practice CPD events and team meetings.
The practice is fully digital with Software of Excellence, WiFi, digital radiographs and digital tablet for medical history taking. The practice is equipped with intra-oral cameras, rotary endodontics, and a digital SLR for use. The practice has been a DFT practice since the last 13 years (except for during Covid 19) with staff being very experienced with FDs. The practice has been very popular in the past for FDs with the existing FD wanting to stay on as an associate. The practice is supported by hygienists and implant surgeons. We aim to provide a relaxed training environment supported by staff who have trained many FDs before.
The FD would have full autonomy and clinical freedom supported by modern equipment and dental materials with very experienced staff. This position would suit someone who is vibrant, forward-thinking, and motivated.
The Area: Beaumont Leys is a village a few miles north of Leicester city Centre. It has excellent road links with surrounding regions. Average journey times are below (by car):
Leicester city Centre: 10 minutes
Loughborough town Centre: 20 minutes
Nottingham City Centre: 30 minutes
M1: 10 minutes.
The practice itself is based in a small shopping Centre with a Premier convenience shop, small council library, social neighbourhood centre, A Mosque, children's day centre, pharmacy, chicken and chips shop, etc.
Other Points of Interest: Home Farm Dental Practice has a proud history of being involved in dental training. The staff offer full support and we all work and treat each other like a family. The Dental Team carry out a number of social events throughout the year with nights out in Leicester City along with the annual Christmas Dinner and various Birthday nights out. Most of the social time is spent in the City of Leicester at bars, restaurants and nightclubs are in abundance.
