The Educational Supervisor: I qualified in Athens, Greece in 2006 and I have been working as a dentist in the UK since 2007. I have been practicing general dentistry both in NHS and private sectors and I have been placing implants since 2013. I have a special interest in oral surgery and i was awarded a Masters degree in Dental implantology in 2013. I have since been trained in soft tissue grafting and manipulation and have been performing surgical extractions and crown lengthening procedures, along with general and cosmetic dentistry, including composite bonding, smile makeovers etc. I have also been very keen in dental education, therefore i completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education in 2017, at the University of Bedfordshire. I am a member of the College of General Dentistry, the ADI, and the ICOI. I have recently acquired the dental practice in Castle Donington with my business partner Viktoria, who specialises is aesthetic and restorative dentistry and adult orthodontics.
Outside of work, I am an amateur actor, I play the piano and I travel as much as i can. I am a father of one beautiful boy and we are soon expecting our second son in a few weeks!

The Practice: Castle Donington Dental Care was founded over 35 years ago and has been a very highly regarded family practice in the area ever since. As it is the only dental practice in the area there is a big influx of patients. My business partner Viktoria and I acquired this practice one year ago and we have recently completed the first stage of our renovation project, which involved the full refurbishment of one surgery and the addition of a fourth surgery and a brand new decontamination room. The practice has 4 surgeries in total, a reception and waiting room area, a staff room, a kitchenette and 2 toilets (for staff and patients). There is a surgery with disabled access downstairs which also has an ambidextrous dental chair. We are a mixed practice which offers NHS, private PAYG and Denplan options and we also provide a wide range of dental treatments, from dental implants to orthodontics, cosmetic smile makeovers, composite bonding, surgical extractions, crown lengthening procedures, apicectomies, etc.
We have 2 endo motors, 1 surgical motor for implants or surgical procedures and we have recently acquired a dental scanner (I-Tero). One of our dentists also provides facial aesthetics procedures. So there is a very wide range of dental procedures that a DFT will be able to watch, participate and learn from. The dental team is an amazing group of people with many years of experience and commitment to the practice and our main focus is a moral and ethical approach to dentistry.
