The Educational Supervisor: Rebecca qualified from Birmingham Dental School in 2016 and was awarded the MJDF qualification by the Royal College of Surgeons in 2017. She has also completed training in Invisalign Go and more recently, an MSc in Endodontics. She enjoys being actively engaged with FDs and mentees, valuing the support & continual learning involved with being an ES. 

For budding clinicians, DFT is often their first step into a long and rewarding career. Rebecca feels privileged to be part of the FD's journey. Her philosophy is to provide the FD with a relaxed environment within which they can excel both their clinical skills and personal skills, whilst enjoying the support of a dedicated, friendly team.

The Practice: The Elms is a designated Rodericks specialist referral practice with visiting specialists each week - in periodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery and implants. Our team consists of experienced and friendly dentists, hygienists, nurses, receptionists and a practice manager, who work together smoothly facilitating the practice’s day to day needs. There is also a dedicated FD nurse. 

 
The practice is fully computerised using the Exact software system, with digital radiography in all surgeries. Being a large practice, we offer opportunities for learning and career progression, with a full range of NHS and private services. 

The patient base is varied and the incoming FD will be taking on an established list. It is a five-minute walk to the town centre and onsite parking is available for patients and staff. We are located very close to the M1, making it a good location for commuting for study days.  

The Area: Northampton is a booming town, with a vibrant and expanding population. Most famous as a rugby town, we also boast the county’s cricket ground and a league football team. We are well connected to Birmingham and London by rail and road, and a huge Milton Keynes shopping centre is only 30 minutes away. Local amenities include country parks, village pubs and plenty of rolling hills and quiet roads for cycling.
