The Educational Supervisor: I have been an associate at Maylands Dental Practice since 2021 and have always taken an active role in my own development as a clinician. My focus is with ethical minimally invasive dentistry with a large focus on preventative and aesthetic dentistry. I have completed a multitude of courses and am working towards a Diploma in Aesthetic dentistry by Monik Vasant at the Fresh Dental Institute. I also have a wide experience of working with elderly patients in my time as a domicilliary dentist at various care homes. The practice is new and we have a young and vibrant team so we can fully relate to your anxieties about transitioning from university to fast paced NHS dentistry life - we were in your position not that long ago and so we know exactly what it is you want from us and hope to provide it to the best of our abilities. Between us, we have done an array of dental courses in different fields and you will get the chance to shadow us all doing different procedures - from the challenging treatment planning of complicated courses to difficult extractions. We have an open door policy and will be fully supportive of your learning needs - the goal is for you to be as comfortable as possible to ask us anything so we can give you the most help!
The Practice: Maylands Dental and Aesthetic Practice is a beautiful and brand new 4 surgery practice located in Hemel Hempstead. We have an amazing team of 3 dental associates all with interests in different aspects of dentistry, nurses who are highly supportive, receptionist who has a wealth of knowledge and a practice manager with over a decades experience. The practice has been designed with new equipment including an itero machine, digital x-rays, dentally computer systems, ipads for medical forms, televisions in each surgery and air conditioning too. We have brilliant team morale and try and maintain this through regular work socials. Our google reviews are exceptional and we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality of care possible for all of our patients. We have a young and vibrant team who are ambitious, driven and motivated to grow in our careers whilst having fun and enjoying work!
The Area: Maylands Dental practice is located in Hemel Hempstead close to the M1 at junction 8 and M25. It is in close proximity to Watford and St. Albans and is 30 minutes from Northwood and Pinner. Hemel Hempstead has a mix of quiet country charm with a generous amount of affluence. You will not want to leave this place once you fall in love with it.
