The Educational Supervisor: Emma qualified from The University of Leeds in 2012. She went on to complete foundation training and worked as an associate in a mixed NHS/private practice. She joined the Avenue as an associate dentist at the start of 2017 and went on to be the principle dentist in June 2018. Since then, Emma has been involved with training of the whole dental team and has helped mentor students pursuing a career in dentistry. Emma enjoys teaching and sharing her experiences and feels it gives her both great personal and professional satisfaction. Her vision is to use this experience to develop and inspire foundation dentists to become highly skilled, ethical professionals in the future.
Emma is an honest, ethical, highly skilled and experienced dentist. She is very approachable and has a natural ability to bring out the best in everyone she works with. She offers a full range of dental and aesthetic services. She is very experienced in crown and bridge work and is also a provider of Invisalign and composite bonding services. She is also trained in conscious sedation and is able to treat anxious patients under intravenous (IV) sedation. Alongside her NHS work, Emma is an advanced facial aesthetic practitioner. She mentors other clinicians new to the field of facial aesthetics and is trained and competent to deal with complications.
Away from the surgery, Emma loves spending time with her family and dog Margot at their caravan in Abersoch. She also loves travelling and cooking.
The Practice: The Avenue Dentistry is a modern, state of the art dental practice with 4 surgeries. We have a long-standing team that offer excellent support. Our team comprises of 4 dentists, 2 hygiene/therapists, 5 dental nurses and 2 practice managers. Our practice offers all aspects of dentistry in-house… From smile makeovers including composite-bonding, Veneers, cosmetic crowns, implant placements, orthodontics (fixed and Invisalign) to IV sedation, minor oral surgery and facial aesthetics. This benefits patient planning and aids in a multidisciplinary approach to successful patient management.
Each surgery has been recently renovated to a very high standard. The practice is fully digitalised, uses Software of excellence with clinipad and patient portal. We also have a dSLR camera and iTero scanner available.
The Area: The Avenue Dentistry is a family run dental practice that has been established in the small market town of Cheadle in the Staffordshire Moorlands for over 40 years. We are located 4 miles away from Alton Towers.
Other Points of Interest: The practice has undergone complete renovation recently. This was completed in January 2021. There are plans in the pipeline to expand the practice further and add a 5th surgery early next year.
