The Educational Supervisors:  I qualified from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa in 1992 and came to the UK in 1994. I worked as an associate for a few years and set up Broxbourne Dental Care with my partner in 1997. We sold it to the Together Group in 2019 and I am an associate in this practice now, and the practice has been a foundation training practice since 2010. I also obtained a Diploma in Medical education in 2015. I have 2 children, a dog and in my free time I enjoy walking, cooking and jewelery making..

The Practice: Together Dental Broxbourne is a modern 7 surgery dental practice with 7 dentists and 2 hygienists. We have visiting specialists to the practice such as an endodontist, periodontist and orthodontist. This allows the FD access to these colleagues for additional support if it is needed. All surgeries are fully equipped, air-conditioned, have digital radiography and the latest Dentally software. The practice has a purpose built decontamination room and CBCT scanner. It is a mixed NHS and private practice, offering all aspects of dentistry. One of our associates has a Diploma in Implant Dentistry and an opportunity to see these been placed would be offered. As part of the larger Together Dental group of practices, there are additional opportunities for training and working with a broader clinical team. The busy practice is conveniently located on the high street in Broxbourne. A  six minute walk from the train station, it offers a car park and a shop front location on the ground floor, with disabled access. There is a small kitchenette used as a staff room. It’s a great place to work, with an experienced and friendly team

The Area: Broxbourne is situated 3.5 miles north of the M25 junction 25 and is on the Cambridge to London Liverpool Street line. The village setting has expanded in the last few years to merge with the pleasant town of Hoddesdon which has all the amenities such as a post office, banks and supermarkets. Broxbourne is predominantly a middle class area, treating families, thereby allowing for all aspects of dentistry. It is close to Brookfield Centre allowing for shopping as it has good selection of shops. The area is green enough to appear as though it is in the country and yet really close to London. It has shopping, gyms, and the popular town of Hertford is only 15 minutes away by car for a night out.

Other Points of Interest:  The other dentists in the practice all have an interest in teaching, and the practice offers implants, invisalign, facial aesthatics and all aspects of general dentistry. We also have some visiting specialists such as a periodontist, endodontist, orthodontist and oral surgeon.
The practice was refurbished in January 2021 to a very high standard and is very clean and modern.
