The Educational Supervisor: Odessa has been working at Mile House Dental Practice since March 2010. She has been a Dental Foundation Educational Supervisor with the HEE West Midlands since 2013. Graduated in 2007 from the University of Lisbon and in 2008 completed a Masters in Dental Medicine with the thesis” Oral Care for Pneumonia Prevention in Ventilated Patients”. In 2013 finished a PG Cert in Medical Education. Always interested in Education and available to collaborate with academic/professional activities that promote good standards of dental care by all dental professionals and contribute to professional development. She is currently studying Periodontology at UCL Eastman Dental Institute and would like to continue improving her skills in specific areas such as Periodontology and Restorative Dentistry.

John graduated from Peninsula Dental School in 2014 with Honours and completed his Foundation Training in the East of England scheme. Since then he worked as a MaxFax DCT in Gloucester and has worked for Rodericks as an associate, most recently and currently at Milehouse Dental Practice, since October 2017. Since his own dental foundation training year, he found himself drawn to education and wanting to be involved in developing young dentists. He feels having completed foundation training, having worked as a DCT and completed the MJDF post-graduate examinations, he is in a good position to guide a dentist through some of the key decisions that they need to make early in their careers.

The Practice: Milehouse Dental Practice is a modern two storey, purpose-built building comprising of 7 fully equipped dental surgeries. All are computerised with SOE software and all have digital radiographs, full internet access and rotary endodontic equipment. We have over 18,000 patients who we provide care for which enables us to provide our Foundation Dentist’s with a vast range of treatment and experience. 
Milehouse is part of Rodericks Dental. The practice opened in 2009 and is situated on the outskirts of Newcastle-under-Lyme town. The practice is integrated in an industrial / business estate, with free patient and staff parking. 
We currently have 5 Dentists, a Therapist and a Foundation Dentist, forming a well-rounded clinical team with a wide-range of skills and interests, offering a Foundation Dentist plenty of clinicians to learn from and observe treatments.
We have a settled and stable team at Milehouse comprising of a long standing practice manager, reception team and a mixture of qualified and trainee dental nurses. 

The Area: Newcastle-under-Lyme is situated in the West Midlands 3 miles northwest of Stoke-on-Trent within the county of Staffordshire. The town itself is typical of any town with various shops, cinemas, parks and many places to eat and drink. 
Gordon Banks Sports Centre is situated at Newcastle College just 3 minutes away from the practice.
The New Vic Theatre presents plays, musicals and concerts all year around.
Geographically it is situated between Manchester and Birmingham, with both easily accessible for evenings / weekends by car or train from Stoke-on-Trent. 
Staffordshire itself has plenty to offer with access to the Peak District, various national trust sites and a wide range of green space. Its central city is Stoke-on-Trent, famous for the historical Potteries.
