The Educational Supervisor: I qualified in 2005 from GKT, and completed my vocational training now known as foundation year in this very practice ! I am very familiar with the practice , and the patients having worked and developed here over the last 14 years. I began my ES role 2 years ago;2016/2017 but have been involved with many FDs over the years, as we encourage an open door policy. My surgery is next door to the current FD which makes communication easy

The Practice: We have been an established vocational training/foundation practice for over 20 years. There are 4 dentists and a dental therapist. We practice IV sedation, implants and offer social orthodontics. Bupa is a well know private brand and a fabulous company to work for. Materials and equipment requested are often approved (within reason) and there are lots of courses available to take advantage from. We are fully computerised , with digital radiographs and intraoral xray available in each surgery and a central OPG machine. We have rotary endo and an apex locator. There is a practice digital SLR enabling the FDs to keep records and discuss patient cases more effectively. There is a central decontamination room adhering to HTM1-05 best practice requirements 

The Area: Long Eaton is a busy market town with plenty of shops/supermarkets and the practice is located within the town centre. It has excellent transport links being central to both Derby and Nottingham. The practice is close to the bust stop, train station and M1. Car parking is available for free on streets nearby or £4/day in the car park opposite
