The Educational Supervisor: My role as an Educational Supervisor since 2004 has given me the opportunity to mentor and develop new graduates which has been very rewarding to me personally and professionally. I am passionate about dentistry and take great pride in the clinical work provided by our group of three practices. I am particularly proud that by promoting a forward-thinking ethos our team has been positively engaged in the NHS Dental-Contract-Reform programme.

The Practice: We are a purpose-built seven surgery practice established since 1999 and we are proud to be a member of the BDA Good Practice Scheme. We have been part of the FD training program for the past 15-years and are delighted to have been appointed for a further 3-years. Our friendly and hard-working ethos has led us to become an award-winning practice receiving "Best Dental Team" at the Dentistry Awards. We continually invest in the latest technology and are a fully computerised practice with digital x-ray sensors and intra-oral cameras. All surgeries are air-conditioned and have modern equipment in excellent condition. We use rotary NiTi instruments for endodontics and we provide all aspects of general dental care as well as orthodontics, dental implants and facial aesthetics.

The Area: The practice is located in Telford which is a large town in the county of Shropshire and within close commuting distance from Shrewsbury, Birmingham and Wolverhampton. We are in close proximity to the M54 motorway and public transport networks. The area is recognised as being contemporary but maintains a neighbourly atmosphere with patients loyal to the practice.

Other Points of Interest: Our team is dedicated to catering to the FDs needs throughout their training journey. Our open-door policy has enabled our FDs to gain support with both coursework and patient cases resulting in many of our FDs achieving industry recognised awards. We pride ourselves in developing and maintaining good relationships with our FDs; with many of them pursuing hospital career pathways, practice ownership or staying with us as associates.
