The Educational Supervisor: Filip qualified in 2006 at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany with the Degree in Dentistry (Zahnarzt), which is equivalent to the BDS Degree in the UK. In 2007 Filip moved to the United Kingdom and worked and obtained lots of experience in general dentistry, working as a General Dental Practitioner in three different dental practices. In our practice in Harlow, Filip has been practicing dentistry as a GDP since 2010. Besides being a full time dentist, he has undertaken a two year postgraduate course at the University of Manchester in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry and has qualified with an MSc in 2015. In 2016, Filip has qualified with postgraduate certificate in Dental Education at the University of Bedfordshire and is continuing his studies in this field. Filip is interested in all fields of general dentistry and committed to constant professional development with the aim to provide excellent dentistry.
The Practice: Our practice is a well established practice. We are fully computerized (Exact) with four surgeries, digital radiography and highly professional and experienced staff comprising of five dentists, six dental nurses four hygienists, one dental therapist and two receptionists. We provide NHS dental services for over 19000 patients, mostly from Harlow and surrounding villages and towns.
The practice has been awarded with the BDA Good Practice Certificate in 2008 and the facilities are fully compliant with the CQC regulations. The entire practice team is very motivated and enthusiastic about delivering best care in the interest of the patient. In addition to this, our practice has had a FD working between 2008 and 2015. The entire dental staff is looking forward to provide all necessary support and assistance to the future trainee.
The Area: The practice is situated in Church Langley. It is a very nice residential area of Harlow, near the junction to M11 as well as along the A414. The Harlow Town train station is about 1.5miles away from the practice. There is a local bus service available, but the best and fastest option however would be to travel to the practice by car, instead of relying on public transport links. The practice is situated within a health centre on the first floor. The health centre is adjacent to a large Tesco supermarket and large car park, hence the parking facilities are ideal.
Other Points of Interest: We have a very good link to local specialist surgeries and hospitals should any specialist treatment on referral be required. Our practice principal has special interest in implant treatments as well as other surgical treatment. One of our full time associates has been a trainer himself for a number of years and has profound experience in general dentistry. Beside experience in general dentistry, Filip has completed postgraduate qualification in restorative and aesthetic dentistry. The entire dental staff is looking forward to welcome the new trainee as well as to provide all required help and support with greatest pleasure.
