The Educational Supervisor: I qualified in Wales in 1994 and completed my Vocational Training with the Wessex Scheme. I have worked in general practice for over 20 years; initially as an associate and more recently as a Partner at Sycamore House. I have always enjoyed the variety of work and people you find in general practice.  I have been a partner and FD Trainer (or ES as we are now referred to) at Sycamore House for over 15 years now.
I completed a certificate in postgrad medical education in 2008 as I was interested in developing my educational knowledge and skills. More recently, I passed parts 1 & 2 of the MJDF exam.
I do all sorts of treatments and procedures with the exception of orthodontics, which I'm happy to refer.  I have a strong interest in surgical dentistry & implantology and I've been placing and restoring implants for over 12 years. 

The Practice: Sycamore Houose was purpose built in 2002. It has four  surgeries over two floors. There is a sterilization room in each floor. The surgeries are all  really well equipped with Belmont Cleo II chairs, built in electric micromotors, fibre optic handpieces, LED operating lights and each surgery has an intraoral xray set. The Practice has been fully computerized since 2009 and we use digital x-rays.

We have a good team too. Most of the clinical and reception staff have worked in the Practice for over 5-10 years, some even longer.  We place a high value on good working relationships and we know how important it is to look out for each other and work as a team.

We see all sorts of patients; NHS, private and Denplan. Dentistry is all about looking after people so our door is open to anyone that needs and appreciates our professional skill.

The Area: The practice is situated next to a large medical practice. We are a 5 minute  walk form the town centre where you find the usual shops, banks, coffee shops and even a post office.

Bury St Edmunds is half way between Cambridge and Ipswich (about 35 min from either). There are good transport links. Bury St Edmunds is about 1 hour from Norwich by car. The practice has been in both the Ipswich and Norwich schemes over the years.

You'll find all the usual services and shops ( banks, Apple store,  Starbucks, Cafe Nero/ Costa...) There is also a new shopping centre
