The Educational Supervisor: Since qualifying from the Royal London, I have been working in general practice, building and developing my knowledge and skill sets.  I took over the practice in 2008 and moved it to the current premises in 2010.  I was also a Dental Practice Adviser to the local PCT before these were abolished.  I am a Clinical Educator for Hygiene Students on placement.  Outside interests include sailing, music, motorcars, cooking and family life.  I thoroughly enjoy my practicing life because  we have the right balance between work and play. 

The Practice: A short distance from the town centre and railway station, we are a purpose-designed, six surgery Dental Centre, providing the practising environment expected of a dental practice in the twenty first century.  We have excellent provision for patients, with new surgeries, a two room decontamination suite, full accessibility for disabled patients and extensive staff facilities.  We are fully computerised and will provide our FD with wide experience of busy General Dental Practice.  The practice is also a placement for student hygienists from the University of Essex. Two of our Associates were previous FDs at this practice.

The Area: With a growing population, a new University Campus and rapidly developing waterfront, Ipswich offers all the amenities you would expect of a County Town.  Surrounded by stunning countryside and close to the coast, there is plenty to see and do in the area.  Excellent road and rail links mean that London and Cambridge are within easy reach.

Other Points of Interest:  Our friendly staff comprises  7 dentists, a hygienist, 9 fully qualified dental nurses, 4 receptionists, a full time decontamination operative, practice manager and book keeper.  We look forward to welcoming our new FD into the team and making their first year in the real world enjoyable as well as a valuable learning experience in a supportive environment.
