The Practice: The original practice was set up in Linton in the 1970’s and became a part of the Antwerp Dental Group in 2007 when the previous principle retired. The practice moved from a small cottage within the village to a larger building in 2017 allowing for expansion and providing much needed space for more advanced equipment. The practice benefits from a CBCT scanner, digital radiograph system and an iTero scanner.
The surgery allocation for an FD will be purpose built, as there is currently a building project adding a two storey extension to the rear of the practice which will house 2 new surgeries on the ground floor and a new LDU on the first floor. This is due to be completed by the end of July. The ES will be situated across the corridor in the second new surgery. All equipment in both of these surgeries will be new.
There will be chairside support from an experienced nurse from the practice team of 6 nurses, with further support from a Dental Therapist, 2 hygienists, 2 receptionists and a Practice Manager, who is also a qualified Dental Nurse. The practice team benefits from the support of an executive team with roles focussed on finance, area management, HR and quality and governance.
As a part of the Antwerp Dental Group an FD will have access to our academy (https://www.antwerphousedentistry.co.uk/antwerp-dental-academy/).
The practice is a mixed NHS / Private practice with a healthy Denplan list. The patient split is 80% NHS to 20% private and Denplan, however the practice

The Area: Linton is a village which is situated 8 miles southeast of Cambridge City; there is a reliable commuter bus service between Cambridge City and Linton. Linton sits on the borders of 3 counties, Cambridgeshire, Essex and Suffolk with rail links across the country within 10 to 12 miles.
The demographic of the area is wide ranging and has in more recent years become an area for families, both with young and older children. Being situated on a commuter route into Cambridge and London there is a high prevalence of consumers who fall into a category of “executive wealth” with a disposable income.
Linton itself is a quiet pretty village with 2 pubs, a baker, farm shop, an art gallery and a Co Op store. It is within 20 minutes travel from the cosmopolitan city of Cambridge known for its university life, history, culture, shopping and social scene.
