The Educational Supervisors: Urvi qualified from University of Wales College of Medicine (Cardiff) in 2003. Following this she worked in general practice in London and Hertfordshire gaining a vast experience in general practice. She became the Co-Principal Dental Surgeon of Hoddesdon Dental Surgery in April 2007. In March 2008, Urvi completed her MFGDP qualification. She then completed her postgraduate certificate in Dental education in 2012 at the University of Bedfordshire.
Urvi enjoys general dentistry. She is also a six months smile practitioner and has created many straight and beautiful smiles with the six month smile system. Urvi enjoys training and has been a mentor for young newly qualified dentists for more than 10 years. She has been involved in foundation training, both in the East of England deanery since 2010 and the London Deanery since 2015.
Urvi has a calm, caring approach towards each patient and has a wealth of experience in treating families. She enjoys meeting new patients and working with them to help achieve their desired end goals. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her children, baking and keeping fit.
Jilna graduated from Cardiff university in 2009. She has worked as a senior house officer in Guy's hospital, London where she has worked alongside leading consultants in the field of restorative dentistry. Completing a PG Cert in Restorative Dentistry from Eastman Dental Hospital has allowed her to perfect her skills in general dentistry.
Having a keen interest in Dental Education, Jilna has completed a PG Cert in Dental Education and is actively involved in training newly qualified dentists as an Educational Supervisor since 2015. Jilna has a keen interest in short term orthodontics and is a Invisalign Go Provider and a 6 months smiles practitioner. Aside from dentistry, Jilna enjoys travelling, reading and dancing.
The Practice: The practice has been at its current location for over 60 years. The practice has not long undergone a massive refurbishment and extension to provide four state of the art surgeries. All surgeries are air-conditioned and we have ample car parking spaces for staff and patients. We have a separate sterlisation room and are fully equipped with digital x-rays, intra-oral cameras, apex locatory, rotary endodontics, and a recently fitted CBCT Scanner.
The team comprises of two other associates, a practice manager, six nurses and a part-time hygienist. We have a visiting specialist oral , a visiting implantologist as well as a dentist with special interest in Endodontics. All staff work in a friendly and professional manner and are committed to Continuing Postgraduate Development.
The practice is walking distance from the high street.
The Area: Hoddesdon is a market town approximately 20 miles north of Central London. The population is mixed both in terms of age and occupation with many people commute into the city. The nearest railway stations are Rye House and Broxbourne.
